WHY DO WE CELEBRATE WOMEN'S DAY?

           INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY 2023

March 8 is recognized as International Women’s Day around the world. It is a day to celebrate the economic, political and social achievements of women. This year’s theme is “Press for Progress.”

There has been progress made over the years for women, but there is still much work to be done. In many parts of the world, women still do not have the same rights as men. They are not allowed to vote, to own property or to work in certain jobs.

Women’s rights are human rights. This is something that we should all be fighting for. We need to press for progress until all women have the same rights as men.

There are many ways that you can help support women’s rights. You can vote, you can speak out against discrimination and you can support organizations that work to improve the lives of women.

Women’s rights are important. They are the rights of half of the population. We need to work together to ensure that all women have the same opportunities as men.
